Unser Chorleiter Sandro Santander kommt aus Nordargentinien, dem Land der weltberühmten »Misa Criolla«. Ariel Ramírez komponierte diese Messe in den Jahren 1963 und 1964. Sie wird zusammen mit Navidad Nuestra als seine bekannteste Komposition gesehen und gilt aufgrund ihrer Bekanntheit weit über die Grenzen Südamerikas hinaus als bedeutendstes Werk argentinischer Sakralmusik. Es gehört zu unseren beliebtesten Aufführstücken. In Respekt vor anderen populären Werken christlicher ethnischer Musik singen wir auch gerne die Missa Luba (Afrika/Kongo, 1950) wie auch die Misa Flamenca von Paco Pena (Spain, 1988).

Our choir director, Sandro Santander, comes originally from Northern Argentina, the land of the world-famous Misa Criolla. Ariel Ramírez composed this mass in the years 1963 and 1964. It is seen together with Navidad Nuestra as his best known composition and is known far beyond the borders of South America. It is one of our most popular performances. In respect of other popular works of Christian ethnic music we also love to sing the Missa Luba (Africa/Congo, 1950) as well as the Misa Flamenca by Paco Pena (Spain, 1988).
